Bike tours
Throughout the year, the Tourism Department organises bicycle tours accompanied by enthusiastic, qualified guides.
Natuurgebied D'Heye
There’s a stunning piece of greenery to be found just where Bredene merges into De Haan: the D’Heye nature reserve. These 48 hectares of unspoilt nature date back more than a thousand years. Expect to see a vast colour palette of dunes, heather, fields and meadows.Paelsteenpanne
At the base of the imposing Spanjaardduin, you’ll find Paelsteenpanne: a wet dune slack with a unique mix of rare fauna and flora. Paelsteenpanne offers an oasis of peace, miles away from civilisation. Nature has free rein here due to the tall dunes screening this area.Park 't Paelsteenveld
Park 't Paelsteenveld is located near where the dunes flow into the polders, which lends the surrounding grasslands their typical and sometimes rare coastal flora.Recreatiedomein Grasduinen
Recreatiedomein Grasduinen offers a wealth of opportunities for sports and play. This recreation park is not only criss-crossed by several mountain bike, cycling and walking routes; it also has a pond, several sports fields, a fitness trail and play equipment.Spanjaardduin
Spanjaardduin — one of the tallest foredunes in the country — is located right on the border between Bredene and De Haan. If you’re seeking absolute wilderness, there’s no better place to come. You’ll need to climb 28.6 metres to get to the top!
