Bredene uses the 4411 system to offer the option to pay by mobile phone or text message. This means you can pay by sending a text message or via the 4411 app.
Benefits:
- No need to carry change
- An overview of all parking transactions at the end of the month
- No more guessing how long you’ll be parking for
- Only pay for the time you’ve actually been parked
Procedure
Pay by text message
Once you’ve parked your car, text “parking machine number” (space) “licence plate” to 4411. Please note: every parking machine has its own number! The number can be found on the machine.
When you leave the car park, text “Q” to 4411.
Pay via the app
- Download the app via the Apple, Google or Windows app store.
- You’ll be asked to send a one-off text message to obtain login details and a password.
- Once you have created an account, all you need to do to start your session is select the municipality and enter the parking machine number and your licence plate.
- Once you leave the car park, you’ll need to stop your session.
To introduce drivers to the text message/mobile phone system, the first session is free. From your second session, you’ll only pay for the time you’ve effectively been parked during each session. For Proximus and Mobistar customers, the parking charges due will be added to your mobile phone bill. Customers of other providers will need to pay via a monthly account statement. The minimum charge for paying by text message is EUR 0.30 (EUR 0.15 per text message sent/received). When you use the app, you’ll pay EUR 0.25 per parking session, but you won’t be paying text message charges and you can park up and leave much more easily.
